OHC Ford gov't rushing through Home Care Law during pandemic
Almost unbelievably, the Ford government is rushing through their new home and community care law during the pandemic.
There is very little notice for three days of public hearings by web conference as follows. I am attaching our media release, fact sheet and summary of the Act for your information. Please note the deadline to apply for standing (that means, to make a presentation to the standing committee) is next Tuesday. I will send out our submission as soon as possible.
The Ford government is proceeding with Bill 175, the Connecting People to Home and Community Care Act, 2020.
There will be online hearings for 3 days only as below.
The deadline to request to make an online presentation is next Tuesday, June 9 at 6:00p.m.
The deadline for a written submission is Wednesday, June 17 at 6:00p.m.

- Wed 17 Jun – 9 -10:15 am AND 1 -6 pm
Clause-by-clause consideration of the bill will be on the 2 days below. The Bill will be deemed reported the first sitting day after Tuesday, June 23 and can be called for Third Reading that same day. It will follow a normal Third Reading debate.
